The Clinical Social Work Association (CSWA) code of ethics presented here is designed to build upon and supplement the core set of values, principles, and standards set forth in the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics with a specific focus on clinical social work. These core values include: a commitment to the dignity, well-being, and self-determination of the individual a commitment to professional practice characterized by competence and integrity a commitment to client privacy and confidentiality and a commitment to a society which offers opportunities to all its’ members in a just and non-discriminatory manner.
